Invisible Children Nashville!

On April 25th, Invisible Children is hosting it's 4th National Event called '25'. But it's going to be different than the rest of its past events. There will be thousands around the world participating, but participating by being SILENT, using our voices (by not using them) to speak out against Joseph Kony's 25-year-long rebel war. You can join us on April 25th, wherever you are, in staying silent for 25 hours. Walk around, make people notice your silence and hand out cards, fliers, whatever you like, just do. not. speak. Together, we will put an end to 25 years of war. Sign up at:http://www2.invisiblechildren.com/25

BUT, we don't just want you to be silent alone. Which is why we've organized the 'Break the Silence' event in conjunction with 25.

Break the Silence is happening in 18 cities across the U.S and will mark the end of the Invisible Children community's 25 hours of silence for 25.

Break the Silence will unleash the voices of the thousands who are going silent and who have raised at least $25 to fund The Protection Plan - Invisible Children's work to protect innocent civilians from LRA violence.

Schedule of the night's events:

April 25th, 2011
6:30PM - Check in Starts
7:30PM - 30 Minutes of Silence Begins
7:55PM - Break the Silence Video Begins
8:00PM - Silence is Broken
8-9PM - Celebration with new IC Media, Ugandan speaker, IC Roadies and musical performances by large-named bands

How it works:

- You must have raised $25 to RSVP and attend Break the Silence.
- You can submit donations at the event if you have not reached the $25 goal before the 25th.
- Show up at 6:30pm to the Break the Silence location near you with an ID.
- Check-in without talking... follow the signs.
